Mini French Dip Sandwiches

"My Kids love french dip sandwiches anyway, but these mini sandwiches were perfect for their little hands."

These mini sandwiches are perfect for little hands.

I'm Alli from Cupcake Diaries and I'm so excited to be back on the Rhodes Kids Blog sharing another recipe for the kids to help make for dinner! We had these sandwiches for dinner recently and my kids were in heaven. They love french dip sandwiches anyway, but these mini sandwiches were perfect for their little hands. My oldest asked me if they were from "that place where we go with the beef in the sandwiches." (Arby's) haha These mini sandwiches are perfect for little hands.

These sandwiches are so great for a busy weeknight because they're so easy and fast. All you need to do is bake the Rhodes Warm 'n Serv rolls and let them cool a little bit... These mini sandwiches are perfect for little hands.

Then cut the rolls in half and add swiss cheese and roast beef slices. Broil the rolls till the cheese is melted. Cover the roast beef end with the cheese end and you're good to go! I heat my au jus while the rolls are baking, making it so it's all ready to go when the sandwiches are ready. These mini sandwiches are perfect for little hands.

We'll be making these over and over again for sure! These mini sandwiches are perfect for little hands.

Ingredients

12 Rhodes Warm 'n Serv rolls
1 lb. deli roast beef, sliced for sandwiches
6 slices Swiss cheese, sliced deli style
1 packet au jus gravy mix
water

Instructions

Place 12 rolls on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 325° for 12-14 minutes
While the rolls are baking, prepare the au jus according to packet directions. Allow to simmer while the rolls finish.
Remove rolls from the oven and cool enough that you can pick them up comfortably. Cut each roll in half and place inside facing up on the baking sheet.
Place half a slice of cheese on the top part of each roll and one slice of roast beef on the bottom half of each roll. Set the oven to broil and place baking sheet back in the oven. Allow the cheese to melt before removing from the oven.
Place the cheese side onto the roast beef side. Serve with hot au jus. Enjoy!
