Christmas Tree Cinnamon Rolls

Rhodes Bake-N-Serv™ Cinnamon Rolls with Cream Cheese Frosting are delicious no matter what shape they are! This time of year, it is fun to have a holiday theme for our goodies. What could be more fun than a Cinnamon Roll shaped like a Christmas Tree? Kids love these because they are colorful and fun to make.

Start by thawing the cinnamon rolls according to the package thawing instructions and when they are thawed but still cool to the touch, unroll each cinnamon roll to make a long strip. To make the strip into the tree shape, the dough needs to be zig-zagged back and forth to make the tree shape. It should be bigger at the base of the tree and get smaller toward the top. Lay them onto a parchment lined baking sheet. Using a twisting motion, insert a wooden skewer, chopstick or caramel apple stick into the base of the tree and wiggle it until the stick comes out the top. You may need to re-position the dough so that the zig zags are just barely touching. (See photo below.) Leave about 1/2”of the stick exposed at the top (since the dough will rise and cover it.)

Spray a piece of plastic wrap with non-stick spray and cover the little trees. Allow to rise in a warm-ish place in your kitchen for about 30 minutes. Bake at 350° for about 15-20 minutes or until golden. Remove from oven and allow to cool to room temperature.
